Polish national stand at Cosmoprof in Bologne

During 4 days of Cosmoprof/Cosmopack in Bologne, Polish Trade and Investment Agency was promoting polish cosmetic branch at a special national stand. It was an inauguration of polish cosmetics promotional program.  Cosmoprof in Bologne are the biggest cosmetic fairs in the world. This year its record was broken by over 250 000 visitors and 2 822 exhibitors from 70 countries. Poland was represented by 164 companies, including face&body care, hair and nails products, make-up, accessories, packaging and production facilities.

Cosmetics is one of the fastest developing branches of Polish economy with traditions reaching back to the second half of 19th century. Currently there are over 400 small, medium size and big entities exporting their products to over 160 countries. The total value of this market is PLN 16 bln (EUR 2.8 bln). Poland is the 6th cosmetics producer in Europe and is growing at the fastest pace among the leaders of this sector.

Within the Polish national stand organised by Polish Trade and Investment Agency there was divided a special place for B2B meetings for Polish exhibitors and their potential clients. During he whole event there was an expert available at the visitors’ disposal, informing about the potential of Polish cosmetic branch as well as its economy. The exhibitors from Poland could take advantage of the possibilities of free promotion, e.g. leaving their leaflets and catalogues and displaying promotional films. Additionally, the visitors could obtain information about Polish exhibitors at the fairs directly from the stand service or from a distributed catalogue.

On the third day of the event there was a conference and press briefing held by the branch expert – Adriana Jakubowska, the managing editor of ‘Cosmetic Reporter’ magazine. At the meeting there were present Mr. Rossano Bozzi, the Director of Cosmopack, international journalists and guests as well as representatives of Polish companies. After the meeting the guests could ask some questions and take part in a walk through the Polish national section.

Polish national stand at Cosmoprof in Bologne was organised by Polish Trade as a part of Polish cosmetic branch promotional program and within the sub-measure 3.3.2: Operation Program Intelligent Development. The aim of the program is to promote Polish economy basing on our domestic brands included in the areas of Domestic Smart Specialisations. The actions held within this task aim to promote Polish cosmetic branch as a whole sector by the end of 2019 by organising informational-promotional stands at 6 fairs and conferences – in Bologna, Dubai and Hong Kong.
